I just read an article on Wired that was quite moving. It is written by a man who completely lost his hearing as an adult, after not having all of it in the first place as a child.
It is about his journey to hear Boléro again--a piece of music that he really connected with as a fifteen-year-old. It is a bit long, but well worth the read. The power went out here while I was reading it on my laptop, and I barely noticed because it was so engrossing.
